Foreign Missions

There are many ways to get involved in foreign missions at St. James. Mission trips are organized several times throughout the year and projects are ongoing to raise funds and/or collect supplies. Please check the Missions Update section of this Web site for current projects or contact the person(s) listed below.

India Missions

St. James helps support 4 pastors through Indian Evangelical Team and also sends general support for this organization. St. James also helped build and sends monthly support for two orphanages. Contact Ben Chrisostom at bchrisostom@hotmail.com for more information.

Israel

St. James helps support Dugit Ministry, Christian Friends of Israel, and another missionary (Awad). Jan Shumaker is the St. James contact for this area. Contact her at mjshoe@safeplace.net.

Kenya/Africa Mission

St. James helps support Neema Children’s Home which houses and educates 180 orphans. St. James also helps support a group of mission minded business people, the Rays of Hope and the Haidrallli Muslim Outreach. A team from St. James will be going to Kenya May 23-June 4, 2008. Northern Mexico

Southern Mexico

Roca Blanca mission base in southern Oaxaca has a Bible School, Music School, and Medical Clinic that serves the native indian cultures of Oaxaca where there are 155 language dialects and 40 unreached people groups.

St. James helps support this base with $200 per month. St. James also fully supports a local pastor, Florentino, in the upper mixteco region with $350 per month. Laura Pratt, a former member of St. James, is the lead missionary with the medical clinic. St. James helps support Laura with $400 per month.
