Praise Report - Bethany Onley

We serve a very mighty God!  Bethany Onley (24-year old daughter of Steve & Erin Garcia) was on her way to a traveling nurse assignment in Muskogee on Wednesday, April 16th at around 6 a.m. - she was tired from several days of 12-hour shifts already as a labor and delivery RN at Hillcrest Hospital in Tulsa and from being on medication for some female issues for which she was actually awaiting laproscopic surgery later in the month.  Bethany fell asleep at the wheel going south on HWY 69 headed toward Muskogee - she woke up suddenly and over-corrected (her car was on cruise control) and her car went aerial into oncoming traffic.  A semi truck driven by Robert (who gave us the following details) was coming along - he saw her swerve -and he slowed down and moved over into the next lane (praise God!); Bethany’s Toyota Corolla went UNDER his trailer and took out his axle and 2 back wheels! - How the entire load of 45,000 lbs didn’t fall on her is incomprehensible! He still wonders how!  We know how - God created an entire brigade of angels on that one - and then Bethany just passed out in some heavenly dimension - where he bubbled her out!  Bethany woke up seeing a huge wheel (of the truck) in her face and in her car (what was left of it) - she remembers then being cut out by the Jaws of Life and life-flighted in the helicopter to Hillcrest! 

Bethany was in the hospital 5 days - had 2 surgeries on her hip fracture (dangerously close to her femoral artery - another miracle) and clean up on her gashed knee - that’s it!!  Of course, it’s been difficult and painful, but we are so happy to have her home - going to physical therapy and beginning her recovery process!!  Praise God for all of your prayers and showered concern and meals and just everything - especially your love.  Bless you all, Steve and Erin Garcia
